The Sun knows a lot about language. As the world’s biggest-circulating daily English-language newspaper it is a phenomenal model in communication. It doesn’t understand Dutch though, so when it needed an article urgently translated from a Dutch newspaper in February 2008 it approached the Translating Workshop via an intermediary. We took the article and turned it into a smooth and easily editable English version which they based the following day’s front-page story on. We have used our expertise to help other major British news outlets, for example by researching Dutch political news for the Daily Express. Read the Sun article here

With an annual turnover of €2.6 billion, energy drinks company Red Bull certainly know the need for translations their customers can digest and enjoy. Football club SC Red Bull Salzburg were taken over in 2006 as a major part of the firm’s sports marketing strategy. In order to advance their international profile, the club recruited the Translating Workshop in January 2007. We have since translated over 500 press releases and match reports, all of which have been published on the glitzy official club website (also translated by us).

The partnership has been a huge success. Red Bull Salzburg were crowned Austrian Bundesliga Champions in 2007 and 2009. Red Bull have also asked the Translating Workshop to translate press releases for their motor sports teams.
